How does Google suggest similar searches?

Despite all this competitive altruism, when you type "haiti " (that's haiti space) into google without hitting search, the first thing that shows up in the little drop-down menu is "haiti death pictures."  The crowd has no idea what it really wants, or what motivates it.

It doesn't for me, or anyone else I tried. Google's search works based on your own search results, unless you've cleared your cache recently.

In that case, seems to me it's you who has no idea what you really want, or what motivates you.

Google had this reported to them, so they simply reverted the number of hits they've had for that search to 0, so that it wouldn't show up as a popular/suggested search.
