[META] Activities of our users

Currently, I am conducting genomic and metagenomic analysis of local water samples to test for invasive species.  The method we are using is a "barcode" method based on the presence of cytochrome oxidase I which is small enough to be sequenced easily, but large enough to show significant differences between organisms.  By taking such an inventory, we can try to find ways to deal with the problem.  It is easier said than done since they are too small to be appealing.  The blue crab can deal with them well, but we have yet to find a predator that can live in the local ecosystem without becoming dominant due to lack of local competition.  Some solutions have arisen as how to stop their spreading, however, but that does not address those already established.

Here's the link to my youtube propaganda page. Going to use it to upload good music and cause problems: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmMyf4BBMEbeK3SwvLyKZiQ

Additionally, I've uploaded two new compositions. Listen if you want to:

Synth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ISI0_SsJ_o
Metal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrJBKFSfWZE

If you think it's good, good. If you think it's terrible, please post incoherent profanity-laced ranting.

I enjoy that.

Yeah. This could be fun. There's no forum regulation that expressly prohibits incoherent profanity-laced ranting.
Not yet, anyway.

It's a great way to relax while also allowing creativity to flow!

Or is that sex?

I dunno.

Hello fellow Hessians, I composed two death metal ish songs recently and I would appreciate your feedback and criticism regarding them. I am not currently able to record music, so the best that I can offer is rendered MIDI files. Better than nothing, I guess. They are mp3 files, so you should be able to listen to them. Link.

I still say Flowering corpses is good. I'd like to hear it recorded.

The second one doesn't have the same level of inter-connectedness as the first. There doesn't seem to be a central motif to the track, which ends up being a collection of riffs. It's decent, still.

I'm trying to grow vegetables and other exotic plants. I would show you all my music but it only exists in my head at the moment, plus I promised myself never to show anyone unless I can get it at least 10 times more solid than Beethoven.

Hessians behold! I have crafted a piece of music, and I desire your feedback.

Download here (MEGA). Includes gp5 and rendered mp3 files. I still have no access to musical equipment, so enjoy the computer's flawless performance :P

I enjoyed this quite a bit!
