Demilich/Averse Sefira Texas Shows

I'll do my best to get someone to videotape Demilich and Averse Sefira. I'll be taking pictures with my camera like I usually do, but I'll try to get in some half-decent video (with my cam) for you all that can't make it. I can't wait!

(on a side note) local band Odysseum had to drop off the show, but were just replaced by Sothis (from Cali).

Demilich was absolutely amazing - one of the finest displays of intensely complex music performed with passion.  I would go as far as to say that it was one of the most intense [if not legendary] shows I've ever attended, with Averse Sefira putting their all into a very violent show.

I cannot stress it enough that whoever is in the Houston area tonight MUST attend if you have not seen them yet.  I'm very very dissapointed that I can't make the drive out for the second Texas show, especially since it's promised to be even more visceral and immense, but such is the tie to responsibility.

I thought the show last night was great. Hope to see a review for it sometime soon. I know it wasn't one of my shows, but I hope everyone (especially the bands) had a good time in Austin.

I'll have my pictures up very soon, as well as 2 Averse Sefira videos.

I got back from the Houston show earlier today, and am still recovering.  I'm tired, sore as fuck, and couldn't possibly be happier.  To those of y'all who missed this show- you fucked up.  Big time.  Averse Sefira was fucking intense, and, towards the end of the Demilich set, it was obvious that everyone was completely fucking spent and just completely mesmerized by Demilich.  When I think of Demilich, brutal isn't usually the first adjective that comes to mind, but it was fitting for this show- chaotic music played with absolute tons of energy.

Thanks to admin for harboring me; Averse Sefira and Demilich for putting on a great fucking show; Gestalt, Keltic Myth, g0sp-hell, and Kontinual (and anyone else who was there whose reading this and whose online nick I didn't catch- you know who you are) for good company; and again, to the guys in Averse Sefira for getting me in.

Proper review will be forthcoming.

I am seething with envy.

I demand a high quality video/audio recording of the performance.

My apologies  :-[ I didn't get any Demilich video, I was too "tipsy" by that time.

Not a huge Averse Sefira fan, but I am sad to have missed Demilich.

The bassist is on the far right.

The Austin show was again, incredible, and Averse Sefira was likely to steal the show had they not gracefully bowed early for Demilich (various sound problems early on seem to contribute to the squeeze on time. Also, no one needed to hear Sothis). Sanguine of Averse Sefira should be recognized as one of the premiere vocalist in this genre and there are some choice pictures coming where he looks absolutely insane performing. These boys were 100% credible and carried their aesthetic and atmospehre well into the live format.

Demilich, it must be said and repeated endlessley, was the loudest band in the fucking world. Far outdoing themselves than what we saw in New York. A million thank you's for everyone who contributed in putting this together. Well worth the air fare and oppressive Southern heat.
