Statement from DEATHWAVE NEXION Record Label and Publishing House [MMXVIII E.H.]

D.A.R.G. : the statement below came to us from the leadership of Deathwave Nexion, and is published here as part of our continued support of outstanding music by people fostering genuinely dark philosophy through adversarial action.

Statement from DEATHWAVE NEXION Record Label and Publishing House:

Whilst remaining largely driven to the release of Neoclassical, Electronic and Ambient records, as detailed in the past and present efforts, our nexial decision to begin incorporating Heavy Metal bands into our cadre has come with no easy discernment. Purposefully aimed at quality over quantity, we have thus far approached or have been approached by artisans who we can collectively say are ‘masters of their craft,’ and no such lower tier of delivery should be permissible if our full weight of promotion and esoteric pairing are to be present.

We have selected a small group of individuals, each with their own sublets from which they are respective champions, but maintaining a shared lineup throughout. These are: DECIEVERION, a classic Black Metal act from Pennsylvania, and no stranger to the nightspirits of yesteryear; SHADOWS IN THE CRYPT, a ‘Sinister Cult’ from Pennsylvania whose sole purpose is to create the most menacing, hate-driven anthems of Devildom, and SERPENT OV OLD, the masterful effusion of many-years of learning through hardships and grief.

These three bands share one common thing among themselves: the members, whose efforts in the genre of North American Black Metal, and especially that which has thrived within the tri-state area, has existed and proliferated independent of genre-trends, subcultural infiltration or consumer interest. Nay, this Unholy Trinity has been, each respectively the bastions of inspiration, and each collectively, the circle of tradition, from which in the darkest times of the Black Metal genre’s foolery, have held down the fort for all of those whom have stayed pledged in allegiance to the dark.

What then separates the efforts of some small, underground, virtually invisible label, and its venture into the metal genre, from any other plastic theater? It is the fact that these “musicians,” are not just that, they are each individually, archetypes of the new aeon. The personnel surrounding the groups in question are antibodies within the mundane superstructure. Given to paths of sharp-living, recognizing no law, and no authority – foregoing the “normal” life which is emblazoned on the armbands of every reactionary, neo-Neckbeard; these are real criminals. They are dedicated to the dark deeds of the devil. In this, their journey towards restoration of principles once commonplace in Black Metal might yet see a renaissance, and in their seedings, might a new prototype of individual arise to stand before the failing species of man.

A New Sample Track from SERPENT OV OLD (2018 via Deathwave Nexion)

Many thanks to D.A.R.G. for the continued support and camaraderie, to S.R. Prozak and the Hessian stratosphere, and for their journalism, which has intersected with our work in the past, and with any luck will continue to in the future.

Usualy, I am not into non-european black-metal but Serpent of old sounds great. Very original but respectful.

  2. T. Desecration says:

What happened to the Praefuscus Ferrum site? Also that song was actually really good I’m definitely going to check this stuff out

  3. Urvas Bethud says:

Great song but there is a ride cymbal or something very clicky and unatural in the drums. It is a shame because the songwriting and the style are fantastic.

  4. Necronomeconomist says:

*The SERPENT OV OLDE single sounds like Sacramentum “FAFTS” + shredding. Rad!

*”We have selected a small group of individuals, each with their own sublets from which they are respective champions, but maintaining a shared lineup throughout.”

Does that mean all the bands have all the same dudes, i.e. the same dudes playing under three different bandnames?

*”Given to paths of sharp-living, recognizing no law, and no authority – foregoing the “normal” life which is emblazoned on the armbands of every reactionary, neo-Neckbeard; these are real criminals. They are dedicated to the dark deeds of the devil.”

Nice. Real criminals. This reminds me of gangsta rap in the ’90s especially, but I guess currently, too; you have to back up the evil shit you’re espousing and representing, you have to enact the shit you’re singing about, or you’re just fake niggas. Real niggas don’t die, but they only become realer if they do (see 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G.).

I wish y’all could expand upon their criminality, but you might catch an FBI file.

*What’s with this ‘Era Horrificus’ phrase-trend. Is that an O9A thing?

  5. C. says:

While there is collusion and collaboration among the 3 named entities, we are not, “all the same dudes playing under three different names.” We are kindred spirits driven by our own individual inner turmoils and past suffering driven to produce true black art in its many forms in cooperation with one another and DEATHWAVE NEXION.

As for our being, “real criminals” we are criminal only in our beliefs and the manner in which we conduct our everyday lives. We conduct ourselves to be beyond the “normal human” existence and await the cleansing of humanity towards a higher evolution. To that end we shall chant the requiem of the ultimate failure of the human race.

    1. Necronomeconomist says:

You are criminal only in your beliefs and how you conduct yourselves?
      Beliefs aren’t crimes.
      Conduct CAN be criminal.
In which case you wouldn’t need to qualify the phrase “real criminals”!

Maybe “radical thinkers/not criminals” would be more accurate?

      1. Steve Mcmahon says:

It all feels like childish role play to me. Embarrassing for grown ups to go around talking about the “occult”. Not saying conviction in alternate schools of thought can’t manifest on the physical plane in greater awareness and accomplishment but ffs don’t make it your one USP. It appears schlocky.

Get the fuck out of here mate.

        1. D.A.R.G. says:

          What is “the occult”?

        2. Kekkonen says:

All forms of Satanism and by extension occultism is at best an inversion of Abrahamic religions (especially Xtianity) and at worst a rephrasing of it.

          1. D.A.R.G. says:

Two questions regarding your apparently “knowledgeable” statements:

            1. Could you please list “All forms of Satanism,” and tell us what they believe and how they differ?
Of course, ultimately, you would have to show how each of them inverts all Abrahamic (especially Christian) precepts and principles, as per your claim.

            2. How and why is “occultism” an “extension” of “Satanism”?

            1. Kekkonen says:

One shouldn`t take hyperbolic statements too autistically. Satanism is in direct opposition Abrahamic religions (read: mainly Christianity), those that aren`t, or disregard it are “Satanic” by name only. Satanism is nothing without its other, “good” half that it chose as its point of reference. Theistic Satanism, if it wants to call itself such then must be in opposition of everything that Christianity stands for in order to call itself such, otherwise its just a fancy name.

I perhaps didn`t word it correctly, Satanism is more of an extension of occultism, or perhaps a form of it. I would go as far as claim that occultism is by and large nothing but a form of obfuscation.

              1. Mormon Angel “Altarboys ov Madness” says:

Yeah, occultism is a form of occlusion, you could say.

  6. Necrodemius Hammerhorde says:

This was recently brought to my attention, so I will try to add on to this without stepping on toes here. First of all, I am/was involved in all three projects at one point or another. Currently Deceiverion is my active project and my top priority. I have been involved in Serpent Ov Old from time to time as vocalist, most recently with the new single, and while I will continue to be involved with Serpent Ov Old in some capacity, Deceiverion, again is my priority. Shadows In The Crypt is not an active entity but is being re-released by Deathwave Nexion, along with the new Deceiverion release “The Separation” in which three songs are available for streaming at http://decieverion.bandcamp.com

As for some of the comments here, I will only say this concerning Deceiverion. I will not speak for other projects because they are the creations of other members.

Deceiverion is a personal expression of the negative aspects of existence, in other words, my personal feelings, sorrows, triumphs, etc. and my expression of disgust towards the human race in general. This creation has nothing to do with the occult, however, I feel personally that people that are into the occult deserve respect as they are a catalyst against society’s norms and the embracing of religious zealotry. I embrace the partnership with Deathwave Nexion and will continue my association with this entity in the future. We are not for everybody, nor do we embrace everyone. If you like us, good. If not-it’s better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not. Thanks to deathmetal.org for the promotion and D.A.R.G. for the hails and words.

  7. Frederick Dinkledick says:

this is like if you took the style of riff Sacramentum used for ‘verses’ (using term loosely) on FAFTS and used only that type of riff for the whole song, no significant tempo or time signature or technique changes, EXCEPT throw in some power metal lead guitar sweeps and scale runs. It doesn’t listen as bad as it sounds but I’m not entirely convinced, seems in line with a lot of the bands DARG posts about where there is decent musicality and craftsmanship but in the end kind of flat and too smoothly flowing and not enough violence and distinctiveness.

    also occultism is incel af
