Morbid Angel
Entangled In Chaos
[Earache]

This is M.A's long awaited tour/live album, and for the most part can also be considered a parting gift to fan's of the bands David Vincent years (which encompassed most of M.A's history). The first thing that should be noted here is the fantastic sound. This is one of those "I can't believe it's not a studio album" discs, and captures a sound that one would have trouble finding on a Pink Floyd album (well…let's not go THAT far). All of the instruments can be heard in great deal of clarity, and combined with the band's excellent technical abilities (which never hurt if recording a live album) produce a very memorable disc. So many classic (!!!!) and highly loved tracks can be found here, thus making it a "best of" album of sorts. Track listing is a follows:

Immortal Rites
Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost
Sworn to the Black
Lord of all Fevers and Plagues
Blessed are the Sick
Day of Suffering
Chapel of Ghouls
Maze of Torment
Rapture
Blood on my Hands
Dominate

Vincent's vocals are nicely produced here, and bring to mind feelings of the earlier (classic!!) days of M.A. As a matter of fact, the entire album as a whole has a near nostalgic feel to it, even with newer tracks such as "Dominate" found within. Trey and Shaue's guitars sound here is interesting, there's enough rawness and live thickness to add a certain sound that obviously can't be found within the limits of a studio, but the general clarity of both the lead a rhythm sections is nicely done. Overall a album worth purchasing, if not just for it's look at one of the finest bands to ever come out of the genre known as Death Metal.
