Two members of now defunct death/trash band Condanna bring to us some violent, sick, and overall amazingly brutal death metal. Hailing from the town next-door to where I once resided in Italy, this demo does NO justice for the band, but still gives us somewhat of an idea of what they're capable of. Mixing brutal death, some folkish atmosphere and more traditional Italian (ala Necromass) sombre parts, the in-depth music given here is nothing less than a treat. It truly makes me angry when so many SILLY black metal bands out there are getting so much respect and fan bases when TRUE members of the metal scene like these bastards are creating EXCELLENT, ripping music. The tunes themselves are nicely done, brutal (yet filled with melody), and spiced with some keyboards/folkish atmospheres here and there. Vocals are good too, going everywhere from deeper than hell traditional death to violent screams. One of the highlights that is sadly missed on this demo because of the production (not including the thick sound they are capable of) is the drumming. D'Anni is one of the best live drummers I have ever witnessed, he truly gets the crowd into the music, but sadly enough his drumming is lost at times in this mix. Brutal, at times sad sounding, and amazingly original are nothing less than what I can say about this great band that are keeping the TRUE metal scene alive. Fuck 15 year old capheads from Norway getting record deals, Fuck all the whore bands cashing in on the money, and HAIL bands like this. Contact these unholy bastards :)
