Impaled Nazarene/Beherit
Day of Darkness
[bootleg]

Recorded during the 'Day of Darkness' festival in 1991, and released in a limited edition of 1000 copies, this is among the greatest metal releases of all time. Not only is the production crisp, audible, and fitting, but we also are allowed to witness the best tracks from two of the sickest bands of all time. In my opinion, both groups went miserably downhill as their careers dragged on, so this is a special release (especially the mighty Beherit tracks!). And as many of you know, Beherit were one of my all-time favorite bands, so you should assume that this review is far from negative. Amazing intros, the IN drumming sounds incredible, and the perfect rendition of "The Oath of Black Blood" will leave each and every listener in awe. Holocausto's vocals never sounded so vicious….

IMPALED NAZARENE:
-Intro (Salve Satanas)
-Condemned to Hell
-The Crucified
-The Black Vomit
-Morbid Fate
-In the Name of Satan
-Crucifixation
-Damnation (Raping the Angels)

BEHERIT:
-Grave Desecration
-6 Days with Sadistic Slayer
-Fallen Souls
-Sadomatic Rites
-Nocturnal Evil
-The Oath of Black Blood
-Satanas

A fantastic release chronicling one my favorite moments in the history of metal. Brutal, punishing, and without compromise. A better time indeed…
