Lust
Apocalyptic Torment
[Decius]

Out of respect for the recording and work of Sabazios Diabolus, Apocalyptic Torment (originally released as part of the 3-way split of violence) has now been released through decius productions on vinyl format. The 12" features amazing artwork on each side and represents the music well. The music is noisy, chaotic and very much blackmetal. Guitars are fast and seemingly all over the place. Don't get me wrong, this is not just random notes but really well structured chaos (If that makes any sense) and it took me a good couple of listens to figure out what was being played. This was more then worth it however and these riffs play over and over in my head on a daily basis. The vocals are not like anything I've ever heard before and I imagine they would turn a few people away from the band. Fuck em I say, Sabazios Diabolus is a great vocallist and for that matter a great musician. All songs were written and performed by Sabazios and with that said, this is probably the best one man band I've ever heard in the sense that I wouldn't have known it was only one person if I hadn't been informed. Anyway, I'd more then reccomend this release. It is 28 minutes of pure blackmetal with it's own style and more then worth getting. I should also mention the intro and outro, I personally find these to be a lot better then your normal intros, they really add something to the overall feel of the album. Limited to 300 copies, Apocalyptic Torment is still avalible at the time of writing so go to www.deciusproductions.com and check it out for yourself. The band and label are more then worth supporting and it pleases me to see that even in this day and age music like this still being released. This is a fist in the face of anyone that says blackmetal is dead and has found its place in my record player on an almost daily basis. Get it while you still can.
