Ahhhhhh yes, Grotesque! This is quite the CD, since it contains most of their older tracks, that sound simply wonderful compared to the dubs I have (although nothing will top the ultra-brutal-Satanic bootleg of their final show ), as well as two re-recorded tracks which are simply brutal. Listen here and worship at one of roots of Swedish Death metal! In days when commercialism and homosexuality had not yet entered the metal scene!

This is for sure a CD worth owning. Although most of the tracks here are close to being a decade old, everything about them still punishes. Ultra violent drumming, riffs that are so unthinkably heavy, and super sick vocals. This is old-school and Satanic Death Metal! Yes! Included in the dark digipak is some quality art from the days of brutality, and linear notes which explain everything (and all) for you.

But then listen to the two re-recorded tracks! It almost hurts that they didn't re-record the entire album, and then lay down a dozen more tracks for a new album! Fantastic! Crushing and violent death metal that will be appreciated by fans of not only Dissection, but also Blasphemy, and lovers of old school death metal. Hail Grotesque, hail classic death metal, and pick up this most worthy CD.
