Well, what is really to be said about a MF bootleg from 82? Quite a lot actually. First off this bootleg comes in pro-packaging but with no additional info apart from two live photos of the King. You can also read some sort of text proclaiming that money for each sold copy is deposited for the benefit of the artist and other concerned parties, but they must submit an express request for this to happen...so I guess it's just an ordinary bootleg after all.

Now onward to the record itself. As you can see from the track listing this is an all hit parade. The musical selection here is excellent but more interesting, in the case of bootlegs the sound is very, very good, better in fact then the sound on the official King Diamond "1987 Abigail-In Concert", in some places like in the beginning of "Black Funeral" the sound is slightly worse but overall it's very good. All elements in the music are clearly audible and the skill of the MF musicians has always been amazing. They are so fucking skilled and tight and this shows that they were (are?) just as good live.

Brilliant sound, excellent songs executed without flaws make this a worthwhile purchase. Kings vocals maybe a little weak in places but for the most part they also work out perfectly. As the track listing implies there is nothing new here but some of the tracks are performed in a slightly different way from the (later?) album versions. This version of "Into the Coven" is the fucking best I've ever heard. But you'll have to buy this bootleg for the purpose of enjoying and reliving an important part of our musical heritage to appreciate it fully. Some interesting sections do appear in between the songs but sparsely: "Welcome to the house of Satan, and if it's not, we're sure as Hell are gonna make it the house of Satan" some pretty heavy shit back in 82...

A great bootleg by all means and if you find it buy it!! Yeah, and one question. The howling before the band takes the stage, are that people from the audience imitating King :/ ?
