Burzum
Hlidskjalf
[Misanthropy]
Creating an environment of depth in spiritual analysis
through vast layering of atmosphere and dynamic control, the evil Count
creates narratives of soundtrack darkwave that express desires in lush
layers of keyboards. Similar to Vangelis in exterior the Burzum album that
was not to be a Burzum album is immersive in dense, liquid, enveloping
potential for resonance between threads within its structure. With a wide
layout of tone and conquering hypnotic rhythm these songs acquire wide
amounts of space for highly charged motion, doing so in the order one would
expect a story to be told across an album. No metal as of yet, however on
musical grounds alone this is a worthy listen for any darker soul/fan of
black metal or darkwave.
