Morbid Angel's 2nd LP, released in '91. The first thing I noticed about this album is it's cover, a great painting by J.Delville, really beautiful. This album is more relaxed than the previous one, it contains 13 songs, out of them 4 instrumental ones. This album has some doom metal feeling to it, for example: the use of keyboards, intro and outro, the deep vocals and the whole melancholic feeling that it spreads. But still there are some brutal songs here and a lot of solos. Pete Sandoval is doing some excellent work on the drums as usual. The production here isn't very good, but there are a lot of advantages in this album to make up for it.
