Well, while I'm writing this review, I'm still under the shock. Why? Simply because with Under a Funeral Moon, I've discovered the perfect black metal album.

The music is quite simple and the production is average (raw, but not hear-tearing, and all the instruments are distinguable), so what is so great about this album? It is simple : this album is a pure piece of evil, and I've never heard something like this before. The music is totally cold, sometimes hateful, sometimes sorrowful (Natassja...), always dark and definitively evil, played straightforward, but with some calm moments...

The first thing that stroke me : the vocals. They are incredible!!!! They top everything I've heard before. Nocturno Culto's voice sounds for me like the whispers of thousand demons carried by the night winds : cold, hateful, sometimes sorrowful... well, it fits perfectly with the music >:]

The drumming is really good too. Even if not fast as Immortal's or Dark Funeral's drumming, it is, in some way, better. I always think that an army of demons is running in my bedroom when I listen to this album, due to the drumming (its really hare to explain for me, but listen the last song, Crossing the Triangle of Flames, and you will understand me).

The lyrics are awesome too. Poetic and very satanic (but you'll not see the name "SATAN" each two verse, we talk about real poetry here).

Conclusion : As I said before, this album is perfect : intense, cold, evil blah blah...It even haunts me in dreams!

Good Points :
- Awesome vocals
- Very good and original drumming
- Haunting music
- Etc...

Bad Points :
- Not bad point.
