Malkuth
The Dance of the Satan's Bitch
[Demise]

"Fer fucks sake", another black metal band out of Brazil! They have quite the scene down there it seems. I've heard Malkuth before, and hated them. With a special passion as well! The compilation track I heard from them was amongst the most irritating songs I've ever heard. I decided to pick up this disc anyway, as it's always the right thing to do in giving a band a second chance.

I'll admit the vocals are a good deal less annoying now. They were comedic in the past, but have matured a little. They are actually extremely similar to Dani of Cradle of Filth. No, not his high pitched style, but rather the deeper one he used throughout "The Principle of Evil Made Flesh". Sometimes reminding me of Bon Scott if he lost 75% of his brain and tried out for black metal. They do get a tad more noisy and screechy here and there, but stay controlled, unlike the (miserable) early material. Strangely enough, while the male vocals have improved, they've decided to add the most obnoxious female vocals! Shut up you worthless sow! Her vocals will drive millions to suicide (or at least the smashing of this abortive CD)!!!

After I got over the fact that the vocals had matured (but still fucking stunk), it didn't take me long to be annoyed by the music (ha! I just noticed that the opening track rips off Maiden's "Somewhere in Time"). Lame keyboard driven black metal that does NOTHING! It's the audio equivalent of eating dirt. The hollow production elevates this music into new worlds of blatant awfulness. Malkuth successfully make nothing of their music during this thirty-five minute waste of time. Thirty-five minutes that I don't have, and would really like back!
