I remember old Malicious (rip) flyers stating that a Strid CD was to be released. It never seemed to come out though, and the band apparently has died out in the same way. Besides the "End of Life" demo, this is the only official (?) release from the Norwegian band, which is sad really. They were somewhat original in what they did.

Slower than a Norwegian attempting to get his point across, Strid were very basic in what they did/do. Slowly drawn out grimmer than grim vocals with dreary and, well, very atmospheric music flowing behind. The music really sucks you in nicely as it is SO atmospheric. Being basic though it never sounds silly (that is, you don't get much more than 3 or so notes and keyboard tones per 60 seconds). It's more like having your insides cut open with a sharp scalpel than receiving a punch in the face. Depressing, yes. Good, yes. "Dreamy" black metal, fuck yes.
