Solstice
Halcyon
[Godhead]

I've always liked this band, they essentially do a mix of traditional heavy metal, mixed with some folk like metal, and then a good slab of doom to it. They do a great job of capturing a brilliant feel of pre-christian times, when the morality of the judeo-christian dogma was not spread, glory was won on the battle field, and people were proud, in that essence Solstice functions extremely well. For a mCD this is still worth some money, as it has five tracks plus a cover version, and speaking of the cover version they have made a great job of transforming Manowar's "Gloves Of Metal", into what could have been one of their own songs. Compared to the usual worthlessness of mCDs, this one stands out quite well, and should be had.
