Coroner
No More Colour
[Noise]

Being an album from the year 1989, one could surely say that it was unusual for that period. They do not really do much that hasn't been done since, in fact I am quite sure at least Atheist found inspiration in these guys, but they were among the first to a form of technical death metal, utilizing strange riffs and song structures, someone more well educated in musical theory could probably categorize the non metal influences... of hand I'd say jazz maybe? For some reason I hear a lot of similarities to Megadeth, the same type of energy and feel to it, although Coroner sound by far more odd then Megadeth did, but there is some common ground, also the sound on the album helps that comparison I think, the sound is not to unlike that to be found on "Rust In Peace". I would maybe say the best to describe this, would be to say: imagine Megadeth playing technical death metal with a jazz like influence, and you would basically have Coroner.
