Yet another release on their own is this, their 2nd full CD. I just have to mention the cover here. The first CDs cover was quite cheesy I thought but this is so fucking brutal... That is if you're sick enough to take a photo of a gutted rat that's nailed to an inverted cross head down. I guess most labels on Earth would shy back from something like that and would rather use some stupid photo of the band standing around like idiots in a wood wielding medieval weapons they wouldn't be able to use anyways... But enough of that; The music is not that much different from their first album, it's a bit more epic and it's still light years from being crappy norsecore. They also took my advice concerning the sound, hahaha, this has a lot more body, even without turning up the bass. I also would like to mention the lyrics here. Although GORGON are from France (and French are rather notorious for their bad english...) they managed to come up with something that goes a lot deeper than the usual "Oh-it's-so-cold-up-here-and-I'm-being-raped-by-a-troll" bullshit. It takes a while to sink in but this is just a lot more evil and sometimes even philosophical ("Epitaph" !). Take the time to get into the lyrical side as well, you won't regret it.
