Agnostic Front
Riot, Riot, Upstart
[Epitaph]

'Riot, Riot, Upstart' is Agnostic's follow-up to 'Something's Gotta Give'. At first listen, I thought that Agnostic Front had lost their passion/flair, but after numerous listens, I must say it is a very substantial piece of work. I found it interesting that Agnostic even did an industrial intro into 'Trust'-it really did sound killer, I would like to hear Agnostic do some more work in that realm. As usual Agnostic Front doesn't hold back with their in-your-face lyrics. Riot, Riot, Upstart', includes seventeen songs of New York hard-core by the old skool masters themselves. 'Sickness'-has a neat groove to it & an enchanting beginning-someone spitting a honker, 'Nothing's Free', 'Trust', 'Police State'-that shares with us their love for Giuliani-(NY's mayor), 'Blood, Death, & Taxes', 'Jailbreak'-has a punk beat, with a melodic chorus (about as melodic as it gets in hard-core). From the first riot siren to the dropping of the bomb on the last song Agnostic Front comes out on top with this effort.
