Primordial
A Journey's End
[Misanthropy]

Second strike... I already bought this before I got a promo and at first I was kinda shocked since I had the feeling the band had gone Fag-Gothic. A couple of turns in my CD player convinced me that it was rather the weird production (Guitars sound strange and the vocals are way too far in the back) that irritated me so immensely. I don't know what the band thinks about it (since Ciaran that lazy fuck doesn't write anymore...) but I think it doesn't really suit PRIMORDIAL. Or maybe it does but it makes things VERY hard for someone passing by to get attracted any further. Now, that I've listened to the album quite often, I don't mind anymore but I'm afraid others might get shocked off. The songs are a logical development from their first album so nobody liking that CD will be disappointed. Alan is using even more variety in his vocals and especially his clear vocals here and there are done damn well. He sounds almost like that guy on CANDLEMASS' cult album "Epicus..."... Well, I bought it and so should you. Don't let it go after a brief listen. Give this time to develop. It won't blow you away at first but it's addictive as fuck... I know what I'm talking about, I experienced it myself.
