Mid-paced, melodic doom. Not a mind-blowing record, but aside from the occasionally bellowing vocals (à la Darkwoods My Betrothed, but not as bad) there isn't anything that I could find wrong with this record. It may go down a little easy, but sometimes that is exactly what is needed. Good overall playing, great melodies, and a nice, doomy feel makes for a disc that fans of recent Amorphis, My Dying Bride, The Gathering or Anathema could do worse than to check out. I find this occupying my CD player quite often these days.
