Premature Ejaculation
Necessary Discomforts
[Cleopatra]

Yet another of many-many projects which involved the late Rozz Williams. In its earliest incarnation Premature Ejaculation was actually a performance troupe which Williams found when he was still in his teens along with the future writer and performance artist Ron Athley. Premature Ejaculation behind this particular record was a different animal though, with the different line-up, save for Williams himself. It also had more to do with music. What we get with "Necessary Discomforts" is a collection of somnambulistic, ambient soundtracks injected with a bit of industrial flavor, samples and weird noise loops. I can't say that this album really stands out from the endless hive of artists who do this sort of thing, but it is not a bad work by far. Whether or not you would want to hear it depends purely on your taste. Just like with the majority of this sort of music, "Necessary Discomforts" is a love it or hate it affair. If you are into this kind of music - give this one a try. If you are not - most likely it will be a drag and a waste of time.
