This is My Dying Bride's "Turn Loose The Swans" worship through and through, amazingly it functions quite well, musically at least... Because the vocal work on this album leaves a lot to be desired, which in a way is to bad, because with a more skilled vocalist they might actually have pulled it off. As a clone band they work better then you'd expect, but they have two things going against them, namely that they are a clone band, and the inferior vocal work. It might however be a good alternative to the newer My Dying Bride such as "The Angel And The Dark River", and "Like Gods Of The Sun" after that I can't, say since they absolutely killed my interest in that band. As a round up I would say not a brilliant album, due to the inferior vocal work, but a decent offering from a clone band.
