Being a somewhat obscure death metal band from around the time the death metal boom hit Sweden, and hit it hard, but Seance was not really one of the bands that got a lot of attention, oddly enough when considering that they played far more brutal, and also far more technical, then the majority of their peers at the time. This being their debut album, it in some way managed to sound so archetypical of a Swedish death metal band, but yet be so different from that sound. If you like the old Swedish death metal sound, and you can track this album down, it is well worth as it. It stands almost uncontested, as one of the finest offerings of Swedish death metal ever...
