Thy Majesty
German Black Metal Art
[Undercover]

Sigh...another new Black Metal band with *zero* originality. I bought this CD a few months ago and have listened to it about twenty times since, but I've always had to force myself to grab this CD from the rack. While there's nothing aesthetically wrong with this release, production and sound are OK and the vocals are quite varied shrieks and growls - but come on, people! We've heard these riffs, progressions, drum patterns and synth lines a million times before, and we heard them first from quality bands! What's even worse, played by Gozer, Mark, Sven and Arkthorn they sound as plastic and fake as Michael Jackson's nose. And to think that Thy Majesty have the audacity to call this "Art" - bah! Unless this happens to be your first Black Metal album, "German Black Metal Art" will bore you to death within minutes and this waste of poly carbonate and aluminium will soon be gathering dust in your collection.
