Arghoslent
Galloping Through the Battle Ruins
[Wood Nymph]

Remember this band? They of the "Bastard son of a thousand whores" demo? The band with members of Grand Belial's Key and vise-versa I believe? Right, well, unknown to me, they're still around!

European death metal is the root of all evil on "Galloping…" and at times it even brings to mind newer Grand Belial's Key, but with gruff vocals. Production is typically old school, but incredibly heavy. You can hear the bass slapping, and the guitars are as thick and heavy as imaginable. Truly, the music shines because of this.

Catchy riffs galore, from the melodic "Transpolar Combat" to the heavy and doomy "Rape of a Slave" (oohh, some of these very racially charged lyrics are bound to piss a few unsuspecting PC freaks off). Killer packaging (of course - Wood Nymph rules) with loads of ancient battle photos, and the lyrics, minus a few obviously censored lines here and there (like on the latest D666 album - a decent comparison to Arghoslent) are in full, offensive sight. 'Galloping Through the Battle Ruins' is surely a unique album, and is catchy and deep enough for me to enjoy for a long time to come. A Must buy!
