Epic
Of Tears and Blood…
[Ancestral Craft]

It's rather easy to classify Epic as a French Dimmu Borgir with an unfitting production. They have the necessary qualities: keyboards (and lots of them!), piano breaks, and keyboard/vocal combinations in between the full band assault. More "Stormblast" than the recent stuff if you know what I mean.

Basically, if you're looking for more bands attempting to go for a "Stormblast" sound, you'll enjoy this. Besides "The New Dawn", I personally couldn't appreciate any of the tracks, and found myself ignoring the music. The rest of the tracks remind me a little too much of "Stormblast", especially "The Garden of Sin", which just reeks of that album.

Good packaging, lyrics that revolve around a story, and a band that would probably find a wider audience with a better production. You won't see ME going back to listen to this again.…
