Okay, so you say how can Opeth get mellower than they already are?...well they have with 'Damnation'. Personally, I think every metal head needs a break now and then from hard-hitting shit, & 'Damnation' is most definitely an lp to, turn off the lights, light some candles, light a joint, and relax too. As always smooth guitarwork, great harmonies on the vox, & clear as fuck production. Really great trax; 'Closure', 'Hope Leaves', & 'In My Time of Need'.

Overall 45 minutes of mellow metal for the soul. If you've never heard Opeth before-you must get-'My Arms, Your Hearse'-personnally I think it's their best work to date.
