Forest of Souls
War and Poetry
[Adipocere]
At times fairly decent black metal with somewhat annoying keyboards overtop.
At other times, slow dark metal with annoying clean vocals. While I like
some of his stuff, my ears can only tolerate Messiah Marcolin for a maximum
of one album. When someone else tries to sound like him (whether they
actually "tried to sound like him" - I don't know) and doesn't quite pull it
off . . . let's just say, I'm glad this is an EP. That is too bad, because
this band has a cool compositional style reminiscent of early Greek bands,
but those vocals really grate.
