The first album of UNPURE is a fine piece of old-school black metal with grimness, dryness and deadness. It’s actually a bit like korpses in the forests playing old BATHORY, CELTIC FROST and DARKTHRONE, with some gloomy, not-so-surprising lyrics and a well-audible, bit-too-clinical but ok working soundscape.

This album isn’t nice, fun, or entertaining, there is something very bad and boring about this but it’s this reason why this reviewer rates this so much higher than their second album which tried to be a bit of fun and thrash. This is one of the albums that must be listened to constantly in the wintertime, in the same pile with DARKTHRONE and BLACK FUNERAL.
