For some reason I got obsessed now with reviewing all old Napalm Records
releases so I must comment on this too.
But it’s hard because it is unique ”German dark metal”, sometimes melodic,
sometimes very doomy, sometimes faster.
He screams, he uses drum machine, he has melancholy, he is alone in the band, he
plays powerful riffs with his guitar at BURZUM mesmeric effect. A point of
comparison in atmosphere could be BETHLEHEM!
This isn’t really an album that catches attention as something very extreme or interesting and I am not surprised that I found this at a very low price. I’m also not surprised that this was actually powerful and interesting, much more so than almost anything they are selling there these days at full price. Most people will be bored at this because it actually requires some concentration and internal morbidity to get into.
The lyrics are all in German and I like that even if I don’t understand German. Fuck the dead!
