Pretty much 'by the book' Swedish melodic black metal. A good deal "blacker" than most bands though, what with the blatantly Satanic lyrics, addition of keyboards here and there, and hysterical vocals. So don't expect another Dissection, but rather something influenced more by Norwegian black metal than At the Gates...

With members of Algaion and Sorhin contributing here, I wasn't expecting to be utterly disappointed. But I am. This is a fucking worthless metal bowel movement.

And (what a shocker!), like just about every other Swedish band out there, this one ends up being a boring mess after more than one listen. Maybe there's actually people out there who can listen to similar sounding melodic riffs coming out of a fifty watt fender amp for fifty minutes, but I'm not one of them. Same old same old to tell you the truth.

Cacophonous need to be boycotted for releasing the Antestor album too, a xtian "unblack" metal band, regardless if it was an error on their part. Being 'open-minded' and 'mature' about something like that is a self-serving joke.
