Amon
The Shining Trapezohedron
[Book]

Besides Exelcruation and Messiah, Switzerland really isn't that well known for its death metal bands. Besides the likes of Celtic Frost and Samael, Switzerland isn't well known for its METAL bands period. "The Shining Trapezohedron" is the unheard of mCD from this trio, better known for their Shemhamforash album on Witch Hunt. Released in 1993, you'll find yourself listening to less than twenty minutes of bland and thoughtless brutal death metal if you manage to come by it.

Apparently the follow up to this is a good deal more black metal, but clearly "The Shining Trapezohedron" is a death metal recording. If you can imagine early Sinister with uninteresting, generic vocals, lifeless riffs, and a stale production, then you'll have Amon. Obviously, this mCD isn't anything to drool over...the sample from "Evil Dead 2" that closes out the disc is nifty though, although the movie has been used in countless metal discs since then.
