Winter Night Overture
Weapon Against The God
[Guano]

Excellent and expressive black metal, sometimes fast and raw and sometimes mournful, but always just on the edge of definition. Utilizing influences from all forms of metal, but never incorporating keyboards or female vocals, WNO present a very dynamic album (I have a 9 track cassette re-release of what I think was a 6 track mcd). WNO never reach the grimness of early Norse black metal or the expansive atmospheres of early Polish black/heathen metal, but they are grim and atmospheric in their own right. Also, I think the point is that WNO are not trying to emulate any scene, which makes this all the more palatable.
