Sentenced
Frozen
[Century Media]

Holy Moly! This is probably the best real Heavy metal album I've heard in a long time! I know Sentenced have 6 other CDs before this 1998 release, and old fans call this their "Load". If they were death metal before, I gotta hear that. Slight Metallica moves here and there, but no, this is heavy metal in the traditional sense; the ethereal mood of Judas priest (Beyond The Realms Of Death) with the doomed "no man's land" feel of Iron Maiden (ie: end of :"Genghis Khan" or "Prodigal Son") and powerful grooves like Saxon in their glory days.

That choppy, chug-chug Iommi/Hetfield riffing with a raspy John Bush type singer (but trying to sing deep like Biff Byford). This is a cool CD to unwind with and get stoned too after work. Each track got better I thought. Anyone looking for a riffy Diamond Head/Megadeth type deal, look no further. This is better than both "ReLoad" and "Cryptic Writings". This shit gives me a high, hard one! Damn! Satan!
