Dragon
Fallen Angel
[Under One Flag]

Imagine mid-80s Sodom if they decided to travel down the path of technical thrashy death metal with the likes of Morbid Angel. That's what Poland's Dragon sound like. Production is dry and uninspired, making this a little tough to actually listen to all in one sitting (unless you're lazy and can't be bothered to get up and change CDs).

This is clear but there's a lack of bottom end. Tracks like Spit in Your Face, and the doomy Tears of Satan are great, especially due to the foreign Sodom/Sepultura-type vocals, which are rough, gruelling, and guttural.

Dragon's influences shine, but they managed to make a nice old school album. Kind of quirky in the time changes (spazzy, jazzy), especially in the CD bonus track Crying Woman, but this is decent for Metallica and Slayer newcomers making the transition to heavier, evil metal.
