There's a rumour the entire Venom Assault series will finally be released on CD, but there is no info on the Neat website about it. If it does happen, then die hard fans will rejoice! These mini albums had songs culled from various 7"singles, and way cool live versions of their black metal classics.

Here we get controlled, pounding versions of Die Hard, Welcome to Hell, and the plodding (and still rare?) In Nominee Satanas. Studio side is the slow brutal Warhead, the thrashy Women, and probably the best, most majestic track Venom ever created, 7 Gates of Hell. (I'm still hoping to find the 12" extended version of Warhead on CD though). Every song has killer riffs, wild axe solos by Mantas, Cronos' gargling on glass and battery acid-type vocals, and infernal drums by Abaddon.
