Countess is renowned for their uncompromising dirty raw and basic approach, and after always hearing heard how raw and filthy Countess was, I got rather disappointed when actually hearing them, as it by far not as dirty basic and raw as I had imagined it to be, ok granted they are more basic and raw than the average band is, but still what matters is not how raw and basic it is, but how well it functions. And I must say it does well in that department, the hypnotic trance like feel of insanity, death, glorifying the devil and human suffering, this is truly black metal of the very anguished hateful sort. Just close your eyes, take a knife, carve some satanic symbols in your arms and let your mind take you to where ever Countess leads...
