It's a pain trying to write about these folk-ambient projects because you end up using the same words over and over. Folksy, ambient, atmospheric, mystical blah-blah-blah. Well yes, you can say all those things about Ice Desert. The problem is that such clichéd description still won't tell you what the music really sounds like. But what the hell else can I say? I doubt that you want me to start describing each song in scrupulous details. I guess the only thing left to do is to offer you my short, subjective overview.

"None" possesses all the right ingredients such as ritualistic atmosphere and skillful ambient manipulations, mysterious aura and bizarre touches, ethnic meditations and the feel of nature. Still, you have to be very much in the right mood for something like that, meaning that you have to sit down and really try to get into it, otherwise it will just pass you by like some transient background music.

Nice work if you can get it.
