Slaughter Lord
Thrash 'til Death
[Invictus]

Buried in the deepest underground, remembered only by the bootleg cassettes, the unofficial 7" with Morbid Angel, and an At the Gates cover, Slaughter Lord finally have an official release. About time some would say.

Proto-death, death/thrash, whatever you might call them, the Aussie hell thrashers are BRUTAL, raw, and far from professional. But unlike early Morbid Angel for example, they are clearly influenced by the old thrash legends - especially Kreator.

Production is muffled, but this is legendary stuff. Distinctly down-tuned guitars, ripping solos, and GRUFF vocals only add to the ancient death feel of the recordings!!! If only the band had pulled a Grotesque and re-entered the studio for some proper bonus tracks.

The vinyl is limited to 500 copies, and nicely done I might say. With a photo of Brian Boru proudly displayed in their logo, and an official release from Morphosis (!!!) coming up, Invictus are set as the finest of Irish labels.
