Sorhin
Döden MCMXCVIII
[Near Dark]

Sorhin is one of the few bads that does this melodic but yet basic sort of swedish black metal, that actually are capable of remaining interesting. I can't really pinpoint what it is that sets them apart, from all the rest of this type that is plentyful, in Sweden first and foremost, perhaps it is that they vary the pace, and that their riffs are not as forgettable as most others of the sort are, but in the end I guess you could say that Sorhin just does their thing better than most others doing a similar thing, and while Sorhin is a good band, and this is a good release by them, they aren't a band that will stand out as being totally their own, hardly even so within the confines of their style, but that is also hard to be, with that particular style. Sorhin in the end is just a band that stick to this little style fully, and just excel at that in as far as it can be done.
