Gothrock/darkmetal type of stuff with some references to Crematory and the softer moments of Samael (Rebellion, Passage and Exodus era) and also shares some common ground with Evereve, but Cryptic Carnage is softer than Evereve and can't muster the same passion and spirit that Evereve is capable of. I must say that I am far from impressed by this album, as it is merely what Evereve already did just many times better, and they didn't have all these nice happy picking flowers in the sun type parts that Cryptic Carnage does, so I can quite honestly say I have a problem seeing why anyone would find an interest in this band really...
