Italians always make the weirdest metal. While not always a good thing, at least they stand out. Tronus Abyss plays a black metal that can be compared to Greek black metal, except with the Italian flair for experimentation. Initial listens made me think that they were going for a more commercial bent with their music, but upon further listens that idea simply comes from the excellent production (..been listening to MANY demos lately, so the sound through me off :^). The music is not in-your-face or outright malevolent, but it does evoke dark emotions while spinning its web of melodic, mid-paced black metal.
