This is a 7 track (plus an intro) demo revolving around the subject of the Semigalls, an ancient Latvian people who fought against Christianity and finally fled the land instead of becoming "serfs of Christ." Musically, Skyforger reminds of Aeternus (a little black metal, a little death metal) minus the Celtic influence, and plus a Latvian/Baltic influence. The vocalist sort of reminds of Attilla from the godly De Mysteriis.. and maybe a little like that dude from Immortal, except sounding more strained. A well-recorded demo that should be checked out if you're into Aeternus or enjoy Heathen-themed music.
