Euronymous had, in the beginning of the 90s, the best extreme metal label one could ever dream of. MAYHEM, BURZUM, ENSLAVED, even DARKTHRONE was supposed to join the cult ! But the very first band ever to be signed on DSP was MERCILESS, in 1989. To tell you the truth, this is the only album of MERCILESS I know, as I never heard that "Unbound" & "Treasures within" CDs, but this is not because I don't like this CD... I just didn't have any opportunity to do so !

This is pure fuckin' thrash/death, headbanging music as every metal fan loves ! When you hear the first notes of the first track, you can't resist and bang your head 'til the music ends ! So good, with a HUGE sound (quite a performance for an extreme band in 1989...), if you like headbanging you MUST buy this album ! I would say a recent CD wich reminds me of this one would be AURA NOIR's "Black thrash attack". Even if you can't get the DSP release, it was later re-issued by several labels and now is available on digipak format on OSMOSE prods, with bonus live tracks.
