Swastyca
Prophecies Of Aryan Moon
[Silence]
Although a fairly new release, I find this to be a truly superb demo of the
highest caliber, and may even go as far as calling it one of the bast tapes
to date in the National Socialist scene. As many of you may well know,
Swastyca is a purely unabashed Aryan black metal band fronted by two of
Poland's finest creators, namely Paimon from Thunderbolt, and Piaty from
Kataxu. Both of these bands are excellent in their own right, which makes
their merging into one unification all the more inspiring. In fact, it is
very clear to hear the influence of both bands contributing to the end
product, and complimenting each other excellently all the while.
Track one is powerful hymn to the timeless ages of a once proud mankind;
bombastic and moving in it's nature. Waves of keyboards froth and coalesce
as one, falling and rising in harmonious unison. Excellent work.
The next track is absolutely brilliant, incorporating several similar,
yet distinguished elements of sound comparable to Setherial. Highlighted
by truly astral and cosmic synths, this song has the peculiar ability to
create a sense of weightlessness in the listner. It's almost like being back
in the womb, or floating alone through deep space. Bravo!
Lastly there is a cover of the Burzum classic Det Som Engang Var, which I
am not sure quite what to make of. I have never been a fan of Burzum, and
find it hard to see why this song really needs to be re- done in the first
place! After all, it is certainly not the most original piece in any sense
of the word, and furthermore, I find it to be just plain boring, like so
much of his music! However, the song is portrayed excellently, and
compliments the album very nicely, letting the listener sink down once more
into the fetid depths of hypnotic guitar passages.
SO! What you should have gotten out of this review, is that this material
is fantastic... and should consider yourself privelaged to hear music as
genuinely created and delivered as this is! I look foreward in anticipation to the full length!
Hail Swastyca!!!
