A newcomer in the Finnish extreme metal underground, this band presents on this first demo half an hour of a sufficiently original mixture of doom, death and black metals. It's only a one very slow track reminiscent of Skepticism in the low growls and echo of drums, the style of drumming... and as backing vocals one can hear high, harsh screaming a bit like Esoteric's ones except these are blacker.

Lyric-wise Wormphlegm seems to be black metal, the track tells you about a torture chamber in hell where "saints" like Martin Luther are tortured in sadistic ways - this music could be called "black torture doom" because you can hear the pain and the exasperation - there is no hope, its bleak and morbid, a life that is going to end in total darkness, swallowed in Satan.
