Belmez
Berserker
[Napalm]

Berserker is a fine earlier album of German melancholy from Belmez. I reviewed 'Siechtum' earlier and from the amount of listening to them I think that one was better. Anyway you hear some berserked-out screams of dark doom, of gothic desperation that was inspired by the stories by Edgar Allan Poe and an original feeling that will capture your black heart if you think that this scene needs more extremities in innovation and less of the usual. Bethlehem is a point of comparison - if you know Bethlehem, I would describe Belmez as a 'poor man's Bethlehem' without the implication that Belmez wouldn't be good.
