First released as a demo tape by the American guys of Full Moon Prods and later on re-issued as a MCD by Embassy prods, "War Funeral" march is the first demo tape of these French Black Legions ("Les Légions Noires"), and the most famous one as it's certainly the only one that could be available this way worldwide... Yeah, they were, together with MUTIILATION & GORGON the oldest French Black Metal hordes, and they played FUCKING KILLER "Celtic & Barbarian Black Metal". I do not understand why MUTIILATION survived and VLAD TEPES disappeared, as VT was much better than MUTIILATION in my sense... But maybe as for MAYHEM, the death of one or more members in the band can create a cult status that the music couldn't bring... Well, the kind of BM played here is almost the same as on other VLAD TEPES releases, but one important thing to notice is the sound : it is excellent for a first demo, and moreover for a black metal demo from 1993 ! If you find this MCD for sale somewhere at a reasonable price, don't miss your chance, buy it and you will not regret it ! The Black Legions against this "world"...
