This is the 3rd ABSURD CD, coming after "Facta luqquntur" (1997) and "Asgardsrei" (1998). The line-up is completely different, JFN is no longer part of the band and I guess Doom isn't the vocalist on this release... So the vocal parts and the drum parts have nothing else to do with the former ones of ABSURD. The CD starts with an instrumental track on which you can hear a piper (is this a kind of tribute to the ancient spirit of the Celts ? I guess so...). Then the New ABSURD style appears : clean production and good drum parts are the elements of this new band. The pace is much faster than on "Facta..." or "Asgardsrei" (sometimes you could imagine it's a Swedish band playing), and the vocals are no longer as aggressive (in my sense) as in the past ; even if they remain hateful thay don't reach the ones on "Facta..." But as most of the lyrics are in German, you can imagine the songs look "aggressive"... But what shocks most on this CD is certainly this "polished" sound that was not on the previous recordings (listen to "Facta..." and you'll understand at the time ABSURD was playing very RAW music !), and I have to admit I really preferred the old songs, the old sound and the old line-up ! Not that this is a bad album, but when you are used to the old line-up of the band, you find this one "boring". If you only know the old form of the band, listen to this one before you buy it...
